HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Memphis is an 80-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital that offers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services designed to return patients to leading active and independent lives. This hospital is a joint venture between HealthSouth and Methodist Healthcare and is connected to Methodist University via a walkway over Union Avenue.
Our hospital provides a wide range of physical rehabilitation services, a vast network of highly-skilled, independent private practice physicians and HealthSouth therapists and nurses, and the most innovative equipment and rehabilitation technology, ensuring that all patients have access to the highest quality care. Designed with our patient’s care in mind, HealthSouth Memphis offers semi-private and private rooms with televisions, telephone, and free wireless internet capabilities.
In addition to caring for general rehabilitation diagnoses such as orthopedic, cardiac, pulmonary and medical-surgical patients, HealthSouth Memphis has specialized inpatient programs for stroke, spinal cord injury and brain injury patients.
Other services offered include a comprehensive outpatient rehabilitation program designed to transition our patients back to independence in their homes. Our inpatient and outpatient therapists are highly trained and specialized with certifications including Neuro IFRAH, lymphedema, ATP (seating specialists), and wound care. Specializations in the treatment of spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, amputation, and orthopedics also allow our team to provide outcomes that consistently exceed the regional and national averages in functional improvement and discharges home.
